“Bean Bags” at the AC Tap…the perfect bar game?

The AC Tap has many attractive qualities: a smoke free bar, sushi on Tuesdays, and a great beer selection, just to name a few. But the beanbag game might well be the clincher in deciding where to get rowdy.

The game sits against the far well in the main bar area: an angled wooden box with holes cut out of it in various locations. Beneath each hole a number of points is written. Stand back behind the line and toss the beanbag at a hole. Get the bag in; earn the number of points below the hole. It’s beautiful in its simplicity.

Best of all, the rules are easy to learn and anyone can play. It’s certainly not as cutthroat as a game of darts or pool can get. You can even team up if you’ve got a big group going, and rotate turns with a partner. Don’t be fooled, though. You’ll need some coordination for this game, and a little follow through. Just keep your eye on the hole.
