Bear Suit Sucker Punch to Play SBSF

Bear Suit Sucker Punch, an Austin, Texas, based trio, is bringing their high energy punk rock back to Door County this summer at Steel Bridge Songfest.

Bear Suit Sucker Punch first learned about the festival through guitarist Hans Emanuelson, a Door County native. After graduating college in Arkansas last summer, he convinced the rest of the band to visit the county and perform. Last fall the band made a new home in Austin, where they have spent the last eight months playing many shows and recording new music.

Bear Suit Sucker Punch is made up of Drew Nunes (bass/vocals), Hans Emanuelson (guitar/vocals), and Tyler Montgomery (drums). They are known for their fun, fast live shows and no-nonsense punk rock music.

Their eclectic sound comes from the diversity within the band, with members from Brazil, Canada, and Wisconsin. The band has worked hard with a strong DIY ethic, but has never forgotten it’s most important to make good music, and have a good time doing it.
