Belgian Heritage Center Holds Waffle Breakfast June 25

The Belgian Heritage Center will have a Belgian waffle breakfast on June 25, 9 am – 1 pm, at 1255 County Road DK, Brussels (the former St. Mary of the Snows Church in Namur). The breakfast will include waffles, eggs, potatoes, beverage and Marchant’s Belgian trippe (a traditional sausage from the Belgian community). This year, as part of the event, guests will have the opportunity to view the recently installed exhibits which tell the story of the Belgian settlement area. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Belgian Heritage Center in its mission to preserve and promote the area’s unique culture, history and architecture. In keeping with this mission, there will be someone available to scan family and community photographs from the Belgian area. With each photograph the owner should include as much identifying information as possible, including names of people, location, and the approximate year. These images will become part of the Belgian Heritage Center’s collection. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children and free for children three and under.
