Bits and Bites: Fish Creek Market Braves the Winter

Norzwich lovers can rejoice that the new owners of the Fish Creek Market are planning to stay open through the winter. The market has been closed during the winter for several years, but Stephen and Cristina Jones, who took over the space in March, will be open six days a week, closing only on Wednesdays for the foreseeable future.

“We want to get back to the idea of being a general mercantile where people can get the basics in addition to specialty items,” Stephen Jones said. “If we’re going to do that, we need to be open for the community.”

The planned hours are Monday and Tuesday, 9 am – 5 pm; Thursday – Saturday, 9 am – 6 pm; and Sunday, 9 am – 3 pm. The famed Norzwich sandwiches will be available in the deli. Visit fishcreekmarket1892.com to see hours and updates.
