Brandy Miettenen, Lamyra Adams Receive Herb Kohl Scholarships

A $10,000 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation 2018 Initiative Scholarship was presented to Sturgeon Bay High School senior Brandy Miettenen at a recognition luncheon hosted by Herb Kohl, Wisconsin philanthropist and businessman. The Herb Kohl Initiative Scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of motivation, have shown strong promise for achieving success in college and beyond, and have overcome significant personal obstacles or adversity.

A $10,000 2018 Excellence Scholarship was presented to Lamyra Adams, a student at Sevastopol High School in Sturgeon Bay at the luncheon. The Excellence Scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated academic potential, outstanding leadership, citizenship, community service, integrity and other special talents.
