The Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) – a nonprofit that provides proactive leadership on waste reduction and recycling – has honored Brent Suter of the Milwaukee Brewers with its Outstanding Achievement in Waste Reduction and Recycling – Professional Athlete Award. It recognizes his efforts to promote waste reduction, reuse and recycling within the baseball team.

Suter, a Brewers pitcher since 2017, started a campaign during the team’s 2019 spring-training season called Strike Out Waste, seeking to reduce the plastic waste generated by single-use plastic water bottles. He worked with the company Zulu to provide players and coaching staff with reusable glass bottles.
