Bridge Club Begins in Door County

The Door County Bridge Club announces the formation of a new duplicate bridge club for the Door County area. Sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), duplicate bridge games will be held every Tuesday at 12 pm at the Stella Maris Church, 7710 Highway 42, Egg Harbor. The games will be tournament style duplicate contract bridge, as opposed to party bridge.

Operated by ACBL-sanctioned Certified Directors Barbara Piester and Sherry Swearngin, eligible players receive master points. Special games are planned throughout this summer, which will allow players to earn additional points as well as colored points. Game results will be scored electronically and posted online at http://www.acbl.org.

Players are encouraged to come with a partner and reservations are not required. However, solo players should contact one of the directors prior to play to arrange for a partner.
