Building A Foundation

“The Foundation of Acrylics” will be the topic of the next Art Fundamentals on March 15, 1 – 3 pm, at the Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay. Learn the history of the medium and explore acrylic painting techniques in this hands-on class. The cost is $30 per student, all materials included.

Continuing every Friday, 6:15 – 8:15 pm, Bottle & Brush will be held for people to gather with friends and their favorite beverages to enjoy an evening of painting. All art materials are provided, and the class is led by local artist Jen Aldrich. The cost is $35 per person.

Life Drawing Guild meets on March 18, 6:15 – 8:15 pm, and offers artists the opportunity to draw from the human figure. The cost is $40/four-week session, or $20 drop in.

March’s Winter Youth Art Program theme is “mixed-media fantasy.” Intended for ages 7-12, these classes focus on a specific theme while each week a different art form will be explored. Classes are held four consecutive Saturdays from 10 to 11:30 am for $40, or $25 for single sessions. All materials included.

Open studio time is available on Mondays and Thursdays at the Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay. From 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, space is open for individuals or groups for $20/day or buy four days and get a fifth for free.

The First Steps Series for March 22 from 1 to 3 pm will focus on acrylics. This is an intermediate-level series for painters. The cost is $30 per student, with a small material list available.
