Cain Goettelman Wins First Yacht Club Race of Season

Cain Goettelman brought his nearly new Flying Scot out of hibernation on Sunday, April 29, to win the inaugural Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club sailboat race of the 2018 season. Goettelman, with seasoned sailor Rob Elliott as crew, logged three first-place finishes. Griff Goetsch and Jeff Berg were a close second place; Larry Burris with crew of Martha Burris, Tom Kurtz and John Witteborg finished third.

Although a few snowbanks made launching interesting, the day went well with light breezes and no competing marine traffic.
