Call for Sculptors

Public Arts Initiative (PAI) of Egg Harbor is putting out a call to galleries and artists who wish to display artwork in an exhibit of sculptures placed around the village as part of “Celebrate Sculpture 2018.”

Artwork will be temporarily displayed throughout Egg Harbor as selected by PAI and in cooperation with the Village Board and various businesses. Artwork will be selected by a jury process from work submitted. There will be eight to 10 sites for consideration, and delivery and installation will be the week prior to Memorial Day. De-installation and pickup will be after the first weekend in October. A $200 stipend per artwork will be given to the artist or gallery with half given upon delivery and balance upon de-installation. Artwork will be insured while on display. Artwork must be original, one-of-a-kind or of a limited run (less than 20). There is no charge for submission. Submissions must include:  a résumé of the artist, images of artwork to be juried, and an artist statement that describes the work and the process of its creation.
