Cat Adoption Fee Waived during “Clear the Shelter” Days

The Door County Humane Society (DCHS) needs to reduce the number of felines currently at the shelter, and will hold “Clear the Shelter” days. From Oct. 10 – 18, the normal adoption fee of $90 is being waived so that all cats and kittens are free to approved adopters. DCHS will have extended hours in order to make this event as accessible as possible. Times are: 12 – 4 pm on Oct. 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 & 18; and 12 – 7 pm Oct. 14 & 16.

To take advantage of this opportunity you must be approved to adopt an animal from DCHS. To become approved, fill out an application form. The application will be processed as quickly as possible and DCHS will call potential adopters with the results. The form can then be emailed to Ellen at [email protected], faxed to 920.746.4681, or mailed to Door County Humane Society, PO Box 93, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
