Classes and Events at Artists Guild

Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay presents a class, from 10 am – 12 pm, in making tie-dye t-shirts that eliminates the mess of traditional dyeing methods. Sharpie Tie-Dye T-Shirts is the subject for the July 2 session of Tuesdays with Jen.

Jennifer Aldrich teaches the weekly class for adults of all skill levels. She will lead students through creating tie-dye effects with permanent markers and rubbing alcohol. In honor of Independence Day, colors and designs associated with the Fourth of July will be presented. Each student will take home a t-shirt. The cost is $25 per student and includes all materials. Paid registration is required by June 30.

Tie-dye t-shirts are also the subject for the July 5 session of Youth Art Classes. Students will use permanent markers and rubbing alcohol to create tie-dye effects on t-shirts. Owner/instructor Sarah Bradley leads the classes and each student will take home a t-shirt.

Youth classes are held every Friday from 9:30 – 11 am (ages 5 – 8), 12 – 2 pm (ages 9 – 12), and 3 – 5 pm (ages 13 – 18). The cost is $25 for the morning class and $30 for afternoon classes, including all materials. Paid registration is required by July 3.

A one-day Portrait Session is scheduled for July 6 from 12 – 3 pm. Artists bring their own materials to draw or paint the model. Easels, tables and chairs are provided. The cost is $30. Paid registration is due by July 3.
