Classes and Events at Artists Guild

Air-dry Clay Flower Pots is the subject for the June 25, 10 am – 12 pm, session of Tuesdays with Jen at Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay. Jennifer Aldrich teaches the weekly class, intended for adults of any skill level. She will lead students through making coil pots out of clay that are paintable after air-drying. The cost is $25 per student and includes all materials. Paid registration is required by June 23.

Rock Solid Portraits is the theme for the June 28 session of the weekly Youth Art Classes. Owner/instructor Sarah Bradley will introduce students to Picasso’s colorful portraits. Students will paint a face on a rock, and incorporate that piece in a larger portrait. The classes are held: 9:30 – 11 am (ages 5 – 8), 12 – 2 pm (ages 9 – 12), and 3 – 5 pm (ages 13 – 18). The cost is $25 per student for the morning class and $30 for the afternoon classes, including all materials. Paid registration is required by June 26.

A non-instructed session of “Life Drawing Studio” will meet June 29, 11 am – 4 pm. Artists bring their own materials to draw or paint an unclothed model. Easels, tables and chairs are provided. Artists under 18 need a signed permission slip. Cost is $40, including model feel. Paid registration is required by June 26.
