Clay Bay Pottery Opens ‘Balance and Beauty’ Aug. 31

Clay Bay Pottery will host an opening of Balance and Beauty on Aug. 31, 10 am – 5 pm, to present new works by Judith Bergerson and Carl Homstad, plus new pieces – both realistic and abstract depictions that reflect the beauty of Door County – by resident potters Jeanne and David Aurelius. Enjoy refreshments and meet the artists.

Bergerson works in acrylics, collage, mixed media and drawing. Allowing each work to develop through exploration and invention, she reveals logic and order in her surroundings, and viewers engage their own imagination to discern new shapes and relationships.

Homstad creates color and black-and-white woodcuts. Working mostly from memory, he captures everyday images reflecting different seasons or times of the day to make each piece memorable.
