County Q Construction Begins May 29

The Door County Highway Department will begin a resurfacing project on County Q from South Dane Street east to Woodcrest Road. The work includes milling the existing pavement to the gravel subbase, grading and preparing the gravel road base then resurfacing the roadway with a new hot mix asphalt pavement, placing new aggregate shoulder material and pavement markings. Milling off the existing asphalt pavement will begin on Tuesday, May 29. All work will be completed under traffic, with flagmen used as necessary. No detours will be established for the project. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid construction delays and the gravel roadway. Access to private properties will be available during the duration of the project. Paving operations will require lane closures and the use of flagmen. Access for emergency vehicles will be provided at all times. All work is scheduled to be completed by June 28. Workers will be on the job site between the hours of 6 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday.
