Crossroads Hosts Educational Programs and Events

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout February.

Feb. 18 at 7 pm the Crossroads will host futurist David Zach as a part of Door County Reads. Zach, known for his funny and though-provoking talks about the future, will present the program’s Grand Finale Lecture entitled “The Strange & Wonderful Futures of Ray Bradbury.”

Feb. 19 at 2 pm a Door County Reads Bonus Finale will feature a lecture by Sam Weller, author of the Ray Bradbury biography, The Bradbury Chronicles. Weller will discuss the life and work of the Fahrenheit 451 author.

Feb. 20 the Friends of the Crossroads will host a Community Ski from 1 – 3 pm. Skis or snowshoes will be available to borrow until dusk. The activity is free and participants are asked to meet at the Collins Learning Center.

Feb 22 at 7 pm Dean Volenberg of the UW Extension will lead a Master Gardener Lecture designed to help beginner gardeners. The free program, open to new and experienced gardeners is entitled “Gardening from the Ground Up – Your First Garden.”
