Dates Announced for Door County Fair

The Door County Fair has announced the dates for the 2013 fair, July 31 – Aug. 4 at John Miles County Park in Sturgeon Bay.

Musical acts for this year’s fair include Vic Ferrari, Glass Hammer, Boogie & the Yo-yo’z, Back Home Boys, and Michael Raye and The Works.

Grandstand Events planned are Enduro Races, Modified Truck and Tractor Pull, Motorcycle Races and a Demolition Derby.

Rides for all ages will be provided by Mr. Ed’s Magical Midways with a wide variety of agricultural exhibits and 4H events rounding out the fair.

A new Door County Fair logo, poster and website are all being developed by Boettcher Communications, LLC of Sturgeon Bay.

New to the fair in 2013 is a Radio Jingle Contest. Door County area students are encouraged to write and compose their own jingle for the fair. Jingle judging will be held on April 22, 3:30 – 6:30 pm, at the Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. The winning jingle individual or group will receive $100 and free fair passes.
