DCU Boys Swimmers Second at Two Rivers

The Door County United (DCU) cooperative boys swimming team placed second in Thursday’s three team-meet at Two Rivers.

Two Rivers won the meet with 119 points, followed by DCU (104) and Kiel (88).

DCU recorded first-place finishes in one relay event and three individual races.

Race Kasten, Colton Blackley, Ezra Linnan and Jack Monfils won the  200-yard freestyle relay in 1 minute, 39.96 seconds.

Individual winners included: Kasten, 100 backstroke (1:01.65); Monfils, 200 individual medley (2:14.21); and Logan Filar, 100 butterfly (1:03.37).

Kasten, Monfils, Blackley and Filar placed second in the 200 medley relay (1:50.22), and Monfils added a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.46).

DCU’s 400 freestyle relay team of Kasten, Blackley, Filar and George Atwell placed third in 3:47.49.

Third-place individual finishes for DCU included Blackley in the 50 freestyle (25.81) and Filar in the 500 freestyle (6:01.56).
