Dedication Scheduled for New UU Fellowship Building

Members and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County (UUFDC) will celebrate their move to a larger facility in Ephraim on June 22.

The Rev. Cynthia B. Johnson, a retired UU minister, will deliver the message Forward Through the Ages. The Rev. Robert C. Clarke, UU Minister Emeritus and founding member, will participate in the service as will UUFDC Charter member Lynn Lees. Rev. Johnson will reflect on the accomplishments of the recent months necessitated by the growth of the fellowship from 37 charter members in 1997 to nearly 100 members today.

Special music will be provided by mezzo soprano Cynthia Stiehl, pianists Ellen Shahbazi and Gerri Friedberg.

The UU Fellowship hosts an art gallery, sponsors the Emerson Cultural Series that features a variety of music and theater performances, a monthly book club, a film series and seminars on various religious topics.

The new UU building is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 (Water St.), Ephraim at the south end of the Green Gables Shops. The special service will be held at 4:30 pm with a reception to follow. The public is welcome.
