Dennis Schermerhorn Named Fish Creek Town Dock Dockmaster

The Fish Creek Harbor Commission has hired Dennis Schermerhorn as the Fish Creek Town Dock Dockmaster for the 2016 season following the retirement of Brian Holan. Schermerhorn and his wife relocated to Door County from the Chicago area 10 years ago. He has held a U.S.C.G. Masters license since 2009 and has operated tugs, assistance towing vessels and tour boats. “I think Dennis will be a great addition to our staff at the Fish Creek Town Dock,” said Dave Harris, chair of the Fish Creek Harbor Commission. “Dennis is very knowledgeable of marine operations in general and quite capable of juggling all of the issues we see at our very busy dock. He is very personable and I think he will be a great leader for our experienced staff, many of whom will be returning this season.”
