Chef Terri Milligan demonstrates.

Chef Terri Milligan has announced a special cooking class and wine dinner to be held at The Inn at Kristofer’s, Friday, October 24. The “East Meets West Gourmet Wine Dinner and Cooking Class” will focus on the preparation and presentation of gourmet faire using Asian ingredients and recipes from famous Asian chefs, including Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger and Nobu Matsuhisa of Nobu. The gourmet dinner will be coupled with two American west coast wines. Chef Milligan will present an hour-long cooking class demonstrating the preparation of the items to be served.

“Asian cooking has gained great popularity because of its vibrant flavors and interesting ingredients,” explained chef Milligan. “The ingredients used in many of the recipes I will be presenting are now readily available for home cooks.”

A green tea sorbet cleanser will prepare diners for the main course of a five-spice powder duck breast with sweet potato hash. Dessert will be an Asian twist on the restaurant’s classic crème brulee.

The cost of the special event is $67 per person and includes the demonstration, five-course dinner, two glasses of wine, complimentary champagne, tax and gratuity. Registration is required as space is limited to 24 people. To register, call 920.854.9419.
