Door County Entertainment: Sue Raye Hughes and Mary Bell To Give Recital

Sue Raye Hughes, piano, and Mary Bell, flute, will be presenting a recital to raise money to buy diapers for Northern Door Children’s Center. The recital will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 1 at Sister Bay Moravian Church. The recital is open to the public and a free will offering will be accepted to raise money to buy diapers for Northern Door Children’s Center.

Sue Raye Hughes said, “Diapers are very expensive and Northern Door Children’s Center needs to have many diapers on hand. They also give them to families who find it difficult to cope with the expense.” Sister Bay Moravian does have a diaper collection on the 3rd Sunday of the month, but Northern Door Children’s Center could always use many more diapers.

Sue Raye Hughes is organist, pianist and choir director at Sister Bay Moravian and Mary Bell is a flutist and teacher who performs all over Northern Wisconsin. Mary has performed with Sue Raye numerous times, but never in a recital.

Mary Bell said, “Sue Raye and I have been wanting to play a recital together for a long time and now it is happening. I am very excited about this. We wanted the recital to benefit a good cause, so diapers it is!”
