Door County Home Sales Up Slightly

Home sales in Door County were up slightly in 2011. A total of 438 homes were sold in 2011, up from 409 in 2010. In 2007 there were 547 homes sold in the county. The median price of a home sold in Door County dropped from $192,000 to $172,000 from 2010 to 2011.

Home sales across the state of Wisconsin were up slightly in 2011, to 51,568 from 51,394 in 2010. That’s still well below the 2007 level, when 67,397 homes sold.

The median price of a home sold in Wisconsin in 2011 dropped from $141,000 to $132,000. In 2007 the median sale price was $163,000.
