Door County Land Trust the Focus of Kress Exhibit

The Egg Harbor Public Arts Initiative and the Kress Pavilion are featuring scenes of the Door County Land Trust as envisioned by artists Terri Warpinkski and Jim Perry.

Warpinski is a professor emerita of art at the University of Oregon. Her photographically based creative practice, which bridges the span from handcrafted historical practices to digital media, explores the relationships among personal, cultural and natural histories.

Perry is a noted local photographer who captures the beauty and sense of place of Door County Land Trust properties, serving as an ambassador for the organization by listing the location of his photo posts so others can explore the landscapes. He also often writes accompanying poetry.

An opening reception with the artists will be held Feb. 5, 4-7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor, and the artists will speak at 5:30 pm. The exhibit will run through May 29.
