Door County Medical Center Welcomes Allycia Bretl

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) Behavioral Health has welcomed Allycia Bretl, a licensed clinical social worker and substance-abuse counselor, to provide behavioral health services at the Sturgeon Bay DCMC campus.

Bretl is a Door County native and Southern Door alumna who completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology and chemistry at Ripon College and her master’s of clinical social work at the University of Maryland-Baltimore. This included internships at an outpatient clinic for a low-income population and at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Bretl has also worked in a residential treatment center with dual-diagnosis clients, using a trauma-informed approach.

“I was born and raised in Door County,” she said. “Helping those in a community that I grew up in and that gave me so much means the world to me.”

Bretl enjoys spending time with her rescue puppy, family and friends; traveling; experiencing new foods and cultures; reading; and watching movies.

To schedule an appointment with Bretl, call the DCMC Sturgeon Bay Clinic at 920.746.0510.
