Door-Tran is one of 10 organizations serving 53 counties in the state that will receive funding to support a vehicle loan program to low-income, hardworking individuals in 2018. In Governor Walker’s announcement on Feb. 16, almost $1.8 million of state and federal funds will support services such as zero-interest vehicle loan programs, mobility management, van pools and operating assistance.
Nikki Voight, mobility manager assistant at Door-Tran, said, “Funding will continue to support the Vehicle Repair & Purchase Loan Program that provides zero percent interest loans to eligible Door County residents.”
Door-Tran’s vehicle loan program has served 28 households since mid-2014 when it began. For more information on transportation services, call 920.743.9999 or visit door-tran.org.
