Southern Door’s boys basketball team opened the new year Tuesday with a 66-49 non-conference victory at Sheboygan Falls.
Drew Daoust led the Eagles with 36 points, which included four 3-pointers, while Taylor Schaefer and Jared Hawkey also scored in double figures with 13 points apiece.
Up next for Southern Door, which is 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the Packerland Conference, is a league game Saturday at Algoma.
Vikings Downed by Raiders
Gibraltar’s boys basketball team trailed by nine points at halftime and ended up losing Tuesday’s non-conference game at home against Two Rivers, 62-52.
Will Friedenfels and Jake Schar led the Vikings with 14 points each. Braden Sitte added 13 points.
Gibraltar (1-6, 0-3) hosts conference games Thursday against Oconto and Saturday against Sevastopol.
Clippers Defeat Red Devils
Sturgeon Bay’s boys basketball team won its non-conference game at home Tuesday over Green Bay East, 58-44.
The Clippers (4-6, 2-3) return to action Jan. 10 with a non-conference game at Kohler.
