Edgewood Opens First Abstract Show

Edgewood Orchard Galleries opens its first abstract group show Aug. 16. Exhibit IV, Abstraction, features a collection of work by new gallery artists as well as longtime Edgewood exhibitors inspired by color, texture, line and shape.

Tom Nachreiner’s paintings will be featured in the Courtyard Gallery and jewelry by Olga Ganoudis will be showcased.

A reception to meet the artists will be held Sept. 2, 4-7 pm. Artist introductions will be in the courtyard at 5 pm and wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

In addition to the artist introductions, Edgewood will also host a book signing for one of their many new artists, abstract painter Rebecca Crowell. Co-authors Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin will be at the gallery during the reception signing their book, Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts & Conversations.

Nachreiner will demonstrate his oil painting techniques in the gallery courtyard Sept. 3, 1-3 pm. The public is welcome to attend.
