Fabulous Fine Art at Sturgeon Bay Fair

Bring creativity and prepare to paint at this year’s Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair, May 27-28, on the water in Sunset Park in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Guests are invited to decorate and take home a 16” wooden sturgeon or learn how to screenprint with a commemorative bandana.

Browse and buy some of the best original art in Door County and the Midwest with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend. The Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair will host 100 fine artists displaying and selling their original pieces of art in such forms as sculpture, glass, paintings, jewelry, fiber, photography and wood. Cast your ballot for favorite artist in the People’s Choice Award contest – the winner is drawn Sunday at 3 pm.

Children of all ages – creative adults too – are encouraged to stop by the All Ages Activity area to make a craft or contribute their creativity to the annual 50-foot Fine Art Fair mural. Strolling entertainers will delight fair-goers with music, face painting and balloon animals. There will also be food, beer and wine vendors.

The Fine Art Fair is open 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and 10 am – 4 pm Sunday. Admission is free.

Everyone has a chance to win a piece of fine art from one of the donating artists at the Fine Art Raffle tent. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10, or 10 for $10. Winners need not be present to win. The raffle winners will be drawn Sunday at 3 pm.

Volunteers are needed to staff a variety of areas; shifts are typically two to three hours. To volunteer or for more information, contact Brenda at 920.743.6246 or [email protected].
