Sturgeon Bay Hosts 13th Annual Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair

Masterpieces, music and murals will be the order of the day as the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) presents the 13th annual Fine Art Fair on May 28 and 29 from 10 am – 5 pm at Sunset Park, located at the corner of Third Avenue and Florida Street. The Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair is part of Door County’s month-long “Festival of Blossoms.” This juried art show features original works of nearly 90 Wisconsin and Midwest artists in a wide variety of media including sculpture, painting, jewelry, ceramics, fiber and photography; all artwork is for sale.

This year’s fair will feature popular children’s entertainer Randy Peterson with shows at 11 am and 1:30 pm on Saturday and noon and 2 pm on Sunday. Strolling entertainers both days will include violinist Dan Ognavic and clown/magician TC Hatter. Additionally, children will enjoy making baggy hats and painting on the many giant 50-foot murals. A variety of food items and beverages will be available all weekend. The very popular “artwork raffle” will again be part of the activities and will feature a large selection of items from art fair participants.
