Featured Pet: Mya

This is Mya, a one-year-old beautiful female Terrier mix that’s full of energy and life. She loves to play all day long and doesn’t have any other speed than “full throttle.” Often compared to the Energizer Bunny, Mya is still very much in a playful puppy mindset. She has a light warm toffee-colored coat embellished with white markings on her face, chest, paws, and the very tip of her tail. She weighs about thirty pounds and not expected to get much bigger once she’s fully grown.

Mya came to the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) a few months ago as a surrender. After being at DCHS for a while she was adopted, but due to no fault of her own was returned. So, she is once again looking for a loving family to call her own. Her future family should have a fenced yard. Since Mya loves to run and play, she might get a little excited and go too far from home if she doesn’t have a fence to keep her safe. So if you are looking for a young, sweet, vivacious girl that will keep you young at heart and never with a dull moment, visit Mya today.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 County PD in Sturgeon Bay, is open 12 – 6 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 12 – 4 pm Saturday. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit doorcountyhumanesociety.org.

The DCHS Annual Rummage Sale will take place April 14 – 16 at the Jaycees Clubhouse in Sturgeon Bay. April 14 is the day to drop off all items to donate to the sale, and come shop on April 15 & 16. All proceeds benefit DCHS.
