On March 27, twenty-three Southern Door FFA members attended the regional FFA Career Development Events (CDE) hosted by Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) in Appleton. FFA members from around the Fox Valley area competed in 13 different agricultural contests. Southern Door students competed in six of the offered events: Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Dairy Products, Floriculture, Horse Science, Livestock Evaluation, and Veterinary Science.

All students who compete in these events receive an individual score that adds to their overall team score. Three teams (Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Dairy Products, and Livestock Evaluation) qualified for the State FFA CDE contests and will compete at UW-Madison later this month. Students who make-up these state bound teams are Austin Vandertie, Jared Baudhuin, Marti Viste, Claire Olson, Erin McNulty, Myria Kolstad, Bailey DeGrave, Carli Babler, Ashley Wery, Elliot Seiler, Lydia Kramer and Alex Ploor.
