Fine Art Fair Moves to Sturgeon Bay’s Martin Park

Prepare to revel in the original work of 62 artists this Memorial Day weekend during Sturgeon Bay’s 23rd annual Fine Art Fair in its new location in Martin Park. Destination Sturgeon Bay will host artists from across the Midwest.

The organization made the decision to move the event in 2019, said Carly Sarkis, Destination Sturgeon Bay’s marketing and events director.

“We wanted the fair to be more visible to people coming in on Memorial Day weekend,” she said.

Martin Park, 207 S. 3rd Ave., creates a beautiful backdrop for the Fine Art Fair festivities, and it allows attendees to experience both the East and West Waterfronts and what Sarkis called an “explosion of new galleries.”

Artwork for sale will include sculpture, glass, painting, jewelry, fiber, print, metal, photography, wood and ceramic. First-, second- and third-place; honorable-mention; and Best of Show awards for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces will be given.

Artists’ booths will be spread out to allow for social distancing, and attendees are encouraged to wear a mask.

“We want to make sure it’s a comfortable situation for everyone,” Sarkis said.

The 2021 Fine Art Fair will be open May 29, 10 am – 5 pm; and May 30, 10 am – 4 pm. Admission is free.
