Glas Hosts Group Painting Exhibit

From July 1 – 27, paintings by five Door County painters – Faith Frykman, Kim Jacobs, Pat Olson, Mac Schueppert and Gina Ward – will be displayed at Glas in Sturgeon Bay.

Ward’s pastel paintings exhibit the effects of color and light on the subjects and evoke an emotional connection between the subject and the viewer.

Award-winning pastel painter Schueppert is known for her vibrant color choices, contrasting cool and warm tones, and capture of light in her paintings.

Nationally-known fine-folk-artist Olson will display her fine art still life paintings and florals in pastel, acrylic and oil pastel.

Jacobs, whose emotional paintings often connect with viewers, finds inspiration for her pastel paintings in her experiences and surroundings.

Frykman’s abstract paintings are saturated with color and bursting with energy, motion and emotion. She will display her newest acrylic and oil pastel paintings.

Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments at their opening reception on July 1, 4:30 – 7 pm, at Glas, located at 67 East Maple Street.
