Haines Death Leaves County Board Supervisor Vacancy

With the Nov. 30 death of Supervisor Richard Haines, the Door County Board District No. 9 Supervisor position is vacant. District No. 9 encompasses the City of Sturgeon Bay Wards 5, 6, and 22-24. Anyone wishing to be considered for appointment to the vacant Door County Board District No. 9 Supervisor position must submit a letter of interest to County Board Chair David Lienau, c/o of the County Administrator, 421 Nebraska St., Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 or email to [email protected]. Letters of interest must be received by 4 pm, Jan. 6, 2017. Following a vetting process, Lienau will nominate a person to fill the vacant Door County Board District No. 9 Supervisor position. This nomination is

subject to confirmation by the county board. The successful nominee will serve for the rest of the unexpired term (April 17, 2018).
