Hatco, Sturgeon Bay Schools and Therma-Tron-X, Inc. Win Wellness Works Awards

Accepting the Workplace Wellness Awards on behalf of their companies were Susan Braun of Hatco, Jennifer O’Handley and Linnea Pichette from the Sturgeon Bay School District, and Casey Bieri and Joanne Sheehy of Therma-Tron-X, Inc.

Three Sturgeon Bay companies were honored at the Door County Economic Development Corporation’s annual investors meeting with the Wellness Works award, recognizing outstanding achievement in creating a healthy workforce. Hatco, Sturgeon Bay Schools and Therma-Tron-X, Inc. were presented with the awards by Ministry Door County Medical Center President and CEO Jerry Worrick, and Door County YMCA CEO Tom Beernsten.

The winning organizations promoted employee health by offering wellness programs and services, including on-site fitness classes, roundtables on health topics, individualized health coaching and weight loss challenges.
