Hazardous-Waste Collection

Are you storing unwanted hazardous-waste products as part of your agricultural business or at your home? Take them to one of the Door County Agricultural and Household Hazardous Waste Program collection sites, where they’ll be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.

Waste collections will be held Nov. 4, 3:30-5:30 pm, at the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Station; and Nov. 5, 8-10 am, at the Door County Highway Department on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost to the agricultural business owner or homeowner because the County of Door and state of Wisconsin fund the costs.

Those dropping off items are asked to stay in their vehicles at all times and place all items in the trunk in a box or container (which will not be returned). Gas cans used for transportation will be returned after being sprayed with a disinfectant.
