Honey Dewdrops Perform at Woodwalk Gallery Aug. 19

Woodwalk Concert Series is excited to welcome the Honey Dewdrops to their stage Aug. 19 at 7 pm. The house band, Small Forest, will open the show.

Virginia natives Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish share more than most couples. As the Honey Dewdrops, they share stages from venues to festivals across North America, stretches of rolling, infinite roadway, and a lot of songs; they share one mic and a hunger to pay attention to what endures. With tight harmonies and a musical ensemble that includes clawhammer banjo, mandolin and guitars, the effect is to leave listeners with only what matters: the heart of the song and clarity over ornamentation. After a year and a half of living on the road and eight years of touring under their belts, Wortman and Parrish now call Baltimore, Maryland home and it’s where they wrote and recorded their fourth full-length album, Tangled Country, released May 2015 on Randm Records.

Call to reserve general seating, which is inside the gallery and if you like, a picnic table outside before the show. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Beer, soda and pie will be for sale. Tickets are $20 cash. Call 920.629.4877 or 920.495.2928 for reservations. Woodwalk Gallery and Events Barn is located at 6746 County G, south of Egg Harbor, one mile off Hwy 42.
