It’s Tournament Time at The Red Putter

(Left to right) The golfers to watch are: Astra Miglane Stanwyck (2005, 2006 champion), Matthew McCaslin (2012 champion), and Nick Kwaterski (2008, 2011 champion).

The 2013 Red Putter Pro Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 3 at 9 am. The top prize is now $2,000; pros will be coming from near and far to compete for the prize money, trophy and the coveted Red Jacket.

2012 Champion Matthew McCaslin of North Carolina will return to try and defend his title. This is the only Professional Miniature Golf tournament in the area, and draws an average of 70 – 100 players from all over the country.

The Red Putter Pro Tournament is sanctioned by the United States Professional Miniature Golf Association (USPMGA), and players who finish in the top 50 percent qualify to play in the Masters National Championship later this year in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Golfers may enter for $30, and must pre-qualify with a score less than par on the course. Registered players may practice for free the week of the tournament.

Sign in begins at 8 am and tournament play begins at 9 am. Three rounds of golf are played, followed by a delicious lunch served by the Mink River Basin.
