Jan Forkert Offers Special Sale on Art

Represented by Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor, Door County Master Artist Jan Forkert will offer her exceptional jewelry and artwork with special prices for one day only, Sept. 13, 4 – 6 pm. She will also demonstrate etching techniques during the show.

Forkert is past director of the Peninsula School of Art, and is known widely as an artist and as a teacher for her silversmithed and enameled jewelry and two-dimensional pieces. Although a master of these materials, her nature is to be experimental and to challenge herself with other media. As a watercolor and mixed-media painter, Forkert is always exploring and experimenting, finding even more ways to express her passion for nature. All her work is grounded in the life of the county, its fauna and flora, its history and processes. Nothing is out-of-bounds or off-limits for Forkert if it speaks or calls to her.
