Knitting Workshop Focuses on Color and Design

Spin in Sturgeon Bay will host a one-day knitting workshop with Brandon Mably from the Kaffe Fassett Design Studio on April 20, 10 am – 4:30 pm.

According to Mably’s mentor, Kaffe Fasset – the world famous, author and designer – Mably has “one of the sharpest eyes for style” that he has ever come across. He will share this talent upstairs at Spin during the workshop, “Concentrating on Color and Design.”

Limited to 30 participants, the workshop will be for knitters who are interested in sharpening their color observation in design. Participants should know how to knit and purl – only the basic stocking stitch will be used in the workshop – to create the Persian Poppy Design. The experience gained should give knitters the confidence to use their own personal color scheme in any of their own designs in the future.

The $90 class fee will also include coffee and refreshments, plus lunch prepared at the Bluefront Café, a nice two-block walk away.
