Letter to the Editor: Sailing into Summer

The Ephraim Yacht Club (EYC) wishes to thank and acknowledge all of the Door County merchants and businesses that have generously contributed items for the 2016 EYC Aaron R. Moore Sailing Scholarship fundraiser and silent auction. The scholarship program provides sailing scholarships to the youth of Door County that otherwise would not have the resources to participate in EYC’s robust sailing lesson program. Largely due to the businesses listed below, EYC has been able to grant 35 scholarships to students this year alone and more than 140 scholarships, representing more than $42,000, since the inception of the four-year-old program. EYC encourages it members and the members of the Northern Door community to reach out and patronize these businesses who have again been so generous in this important outreach to the children of this community.

With special thanks to the following businesses: Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant and Butik; Arbor Crowne Properties; Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub; Bay Shore Outdoor Store; Bea’s Ho-made Products; Bridenhagen Tree and Landscape, Inc.; Chef’s Hat; Chelsea Antiques and Blue Willow Shop; City Farmer; Clay Bay Pottery; Door County Nature Works; Door County Specialty Foods; Ecology; Frykman Studio Gallery; Gage Fine Imports; Gills Rock Stoneware; Grasse’s Grill; Icecreamsource.com; Illusions In Watercolor; J.
