Make the Most of March with Ridges Guided Hikes

Make the most of the mild March weather and join a Ridges naturalist on March 20 at 2 pm for a guided hike through Appel’s Bluff. Recently acquired by The Ridges, this 67-acre tract features dense lowland cedar forest with ephemeral ponds and wetlands in the southern portion and upland forests of maple and birch in the middle. This diversity provides opportunities to see a variety of habitats during a moderately easy hike. Wear good hiking boots. Hike fees are $5 for Ridges members and $8 for the general public. Children under 18 hike free.

Guided hikes of the sanctuary trails are available on Fridays at 2 pm and Saturdays at 10 am & 2 pm through March 26 before taking a break for the month of April.
