“Masters of the Fiddle” at Door Community Auditorium

On Nov. 10, Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present “Masters of the Fiddle,” a high-energy concert of fiddle music by Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy. MacMaster and Leahy are two of the world’s most celebrated fiddlers—and they just happen to be married to each other.

At DCA, MacMaster and Leahy will perform the foot-tapping rave-ups, heart-wrenching ballads, and world-class step dancing that have brought audiences to their feet on three (and counting) continents, including legendary performances by both at DCA.

MacMaster is a renowned fiddler and step-dancer from Cape Breton, Canada. Her husband, Donnell, is a member of the Canadian family band Leahy. Together, they meld their virtuosities into a whirlwind of fiddle-driven music and dance, combining the best of French, Celtic, bluegrass, and Cajun styles and making these traditions their own. They perform with two highly acclaimed pianists, Mac Morin and Erin Leahy.

The performance begins at 7 pm. Tickets range from $22 to $45, and advance reservations are recommended. For tickets, call 920.868.2728, visit dcauditorium.org, or stop by the DCA box office. The box office is located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek and is open 12 – 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
