Meet Pen Art’s Artists-in-Residence

Peninsula School of Art’s current artists-in-residence, Nicole Shaver and Morgan Thomas Shankweiler, will present a drop-in studio tour on Feb. 20, 3:30-5 pm. 

During the free event, guests can ask questions, buy original works and enjoy light refreshments.

Shaver is a multimedia artist whose work explores the intersection between the natural and the human-made, aiming to elevate “banal human detritus and local geology to the artistic practice,” according to her website.

Shankweiler combines art and sociology, with her works “straddling a line between realistically rendered metaphor and abstract data visualization,” according to her site.

Peninsula School of Art is located at 3900 County F in Fish Creek.
