Meet the Destroyers

A public appearance has been scheduled for members of the Door County Destroyers semi-pro football team. On July 4, players, coaches, owners and game day personnel will be available for fans to stop by and meet, get autographs, listen to live music and talk football over a hot sandwich and a cold beverage.

During the Baileys Harbor 4th of July parade until late in the day, the DC Destroyers will have a booth set up on-site at the new Baileys Harbor Visitor Center & Historical Society, located at 8061 Highway 57. They will raise funds for their Fall Youth Football Camp by selling Dani’s Famous BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Marchant’s hot dogs, Budweiser products, soda and water. Bring along Destroyers apparel for autographs, or limited photos of the 2014 Championship team will be available for a donation.

After winning the 2014 Wisconsin State Football League (WSFL) Championship, the Destroyers upgraded to the Mid-States Football League (MSFL) to provide their fans with the thrill of more competitive, harder-hitting games. There are five games remaining in the regular season. The two remaining home games are scheduled for July 18 and Aug. 1. All games are played on Saturdays with kickoff at 4 pm at the Baileys Harbor Rec Park. For more information visit DoorCountyDestroyers.com.
