Midsummer’s Music Joins SPARK!

Following a training period for staff and musicians, Midsummer’s Music is now a member of SPARK!, a cultural program for people with early- to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. 

SPARK! programs are designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support and inspire creativity. These programs are free for families to attend together in an environment led by specially-trained staff and volunteers. SPARK! facilitators have been trained by Alzheimer’s professionals and collaborate with community partners.

Midsummer’s Music will host a SPARK! event in December.

The organization’s resident ensemble, the Griffon String Quartet, will participate in the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day on April 20, 10 am – 1 pm. String students in the YMCA program will perform.

Door County YMCA Sturgeon Bay Program Center is located at 1900 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
