Miss Wisconsin and Friends at Door County’s DCA

On Saturday, Dec. 18 at 7 pm the community will host a send-off celebration, “Miss Wisconsin and Friends,” as a show of support to Kimberly Sawyer, Miss Wisconsin and Egg Harbor native.

Sawyer flies to Las Vegas in early January. She will compete against 52 other talented, intelligent young woman for the title of Miss America.

Sawyer will model her Miss America wardrobe and sing. The event will also include a dance number from Teaka Griesbach, Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen, and other performances by local artists: the Gibraltar theater department and choir, YMCA dancers, Ben and Lily Larsen, Devin Thomas, Katie Sawyer, and more. There will be a photo and autograph session with Kimberly Sawyer and other visiting local representatives after the show.

“Miss Wisconsin and Friends” will be hosted by Stephanie Klett, host of Discover Wisconsin. Tickets are $10.

All proceeds will be donated to the charitable organizations that helped Sawyer on her journey to Las Vegas including the YMCA, Miss Door County and Miss Green Bay Area organizations, Gibraltar High School, the Red Cross, and the Children’s Miracle Network.
