Mother Language Day Poetry Reading

Write On, Door County will celebrate International Mother Language Day with an online poetry reading on Feb. 21, 7-8:30 pm.

The event is a collaboration between Write On and other Wisconsin literary organizations like Chippewa Valley Writers Guild, Driftless Writing Center, Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, Wisconsin Poet Laureate Commission and Woodland Pattern. During the event, poems will be read in multiple languages. This allows listeners to focus on the rhythm and musicality of the poems, rather than their actual words, to discover a deeper appreciation for poetry.
