Moutray and Siles are Artists of the Week

The Door County Art League (DCAL) Gallery will showcase the artwork of Denny Moutray and Madonna Siles as artists of the week, June 24 – July 1.

Moutray photographs nature, landscapes and intriguing abandoned buildings. He studied with Dan Anderson and Suzanne Rose of Door County, and Doug Beasley of Minneapolis. Moutray’s images were selected for the 2011 juried photo exhibition at the Hardy Gallery. He lives in Gills Rock and Austin, TX.

Siles is a plein-air painter who expresses the energy of the Door County forests, fields and shoreline using colorful oil pastels. She is the plein-air paint-out coordinator for DCAL and a member of the Water’s Edge Artists. She has participated in juried shows at the Miller and Rahr-West Art Museums. Siles lives in Sturgeon Bay.

The DCAL Gallery, open daily from 10 am – 5 pm, is located at the Top of the Hill Shops on Highway 42 in Fish Creek.
